Cathedral Math Competition
The school hosted the 4th edition of the annual Cathedral Math Competition (CMC) from 6th to 7th August 2022.
CMC aims for a holistic growth and understanding of one’s hidden mathematical capabilities, highly valuing creativity and innovation, two qualities that shall be essential in solving the problems thrown at them. Success relies on quantitative and qualitative reasoning and hopes to engage as many students across the world in one of the most captivating and unique competitions in India.
This edition, we saw record participation with over 1400 students and over 50 schools taking part from across the world. We also introduced a new grade to cater to the growing demand from middle school students and below to take part in the competition. In addition, we worked with Professor Ian Vanderburgh from the University of Waterloo to prepare and evaluate questions for the competition, while ensuring that the event remained as competitive and exciting as it was last year. Therefore, after four months of build-up, and two days and as many rounds of the competition, we are delighted to report that CMC 2022 was a huge success.
