Junior School Picnic
Students from Std 2, 3, and 4 embarked on an enriching school picnic to Monteira Village, immersing themselves in an authentic rural experience. The village visit provided insights into sustainable living practices, including learning about biogas and the creative utilisation of raw materials. Adding a touch of magic and entertainment, the children were treated to captivating performances by a puppeteer, a magician, and an acrobat who ingeniously wowed the audience with tricks using a simple contraption of sticks. Engaging in hands-on activities, the young learners tried their hand at pottery and crafting straw baskets. A visit to the farm patch allowed them to witness the wonders of cultivating fruits and vegetables using natural methods. The entire excursion served as a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a refreshing break for both students and teachers.
As the perfect finale to an already delightful day, the picturesque ride on the Atal Setu Bridge was the cherry on top. The school picnic was not just a day of fun but an insightful journey that broadened the students’ perspectives and left them with a deeper appreciation for the simplicity and charm of village life.
