On the 24th of August, 2019, Middle School enthusiasts of ‘The Nature Club’ visited the ‘Smart Eco Park’ at Panvel. A refreshingly wonderful space,the children explored, learnt and gained a vital experience in nature.

We are a part of nature and students absorbed as learning was infused with fun. Learning by doing, the children experienced opportunities of making their own water purifiers (using organic materials like rocks, coal and sand),understanding the manner in which rain water is harvested at the park, followed by the students themselves setting up a tank for rain water harvesting. Additionally, they also built a smart city, using reusable materials.

The delights of the eco park were savoured through a truck ride, during which the variety of organic fruits, flowers and vegetables grown there were seen. Waste management and the reuse of waste at the park were keenly observed.

The soothing sounds of nature were appreciated by the students though relaxation and listening to music, while seated in the ‘Dream Catcher’.

Ending where they began, having been fed a delicious vegetarian breakfast and fresh milk from the animals at the park, the children met the farm animals including cows and goats, as well as tortoises, with whom they spent time and fed as well.
