Post Exam Activity- Talk on Life Skills
Is Your Mind Full or Are You Being Mindful?
On the 27th of February, 2018, supporters of the Chinmaya Mission presented a thought-provoking life skill to the students of the Middle School.
Through a simple and straightforward ‘Cost-Benefit Ratio’, the need to say, “No!” was driven home. The presenters closely examined the reasons like peer pressure, the fear of being rejected, the fear of confrontation, and the fear of losing opportunities that prevent people from being assertive.
Robert Frost wrote, ‘Two roads diverged in a wood, and I …took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference.’
The Middlers were encouraged to make a conscious choice between the Path of Good vs the Path of Pleasant. The benefits of such a choice empower and boost self-confidence.
