The inter school science fair “In Quest- 2017…..” for the academic year 2017-2018 was held on Friday the 10th November. The participation this year was very good with a total of 33 projects being put up by the participating schools including our school. The exhibits/displays were of a high standard and greatly appreciated by the judges and visitors. The fair was inaugurated by Mrs. Isaacs who welcomed the schools. Mrs. Mayadas introduced the judges to the participants.The judges were researchers Dr. Purna Gadre,Ms. Charu Seth and Mr. Sudipta Lodh Roy from TIFR.The judging was an arduous process which lasted for almost two and a half hours.

The prize winning teams were as follows:

• First Prize: Bombay Scottish Powai

• Second Prize: campion School

• Third Prize: Christ Church School

Since our school had put up non-competitive entries a certificate of high commendation was given to the team comprising Siddhant Sanghi,Zahan Parekh and Vikamaditya Dugar which put up the best project.

We were lucky to have Dr. Deepa Kushalini of the Department of Chemical Sciences,TIFR . She not only held the attention of the student participants but the adults in the audience as well.Mrs Isaacs was very appreciative of her inspiring talk especially the reasoning she put forward as to why Science was a good choice for students.The students of Class XI and the teachers of the Science Department worked in tandem and meticulously to make the event the success that it was.
