On 2^nd October, 2018, 26 students from Cathedral School attended a full day workshop on making Solar Lamps at IIT – Bombay, as part of their Diamond Jubilee celebrations. This was an endeavor by IIT-B to promote the use of Solar Lamps by the rural population, as renewable, sustainable and affordable source of LIGHT for their project ‘Right to Light’. It was the role of the Student Solar Ambassador to spread light and education to Rural India for the underprivileged children. The workshop ended with 10,000 illuminated lamps making a record in the Guinness Book of World Records.
