The Cathedral Literature Fest 2017

The Cathedral & John Connon School hosted its first ever-Literary Fest on November 27, 2017 for the senior school students organized by the English Department in collaboration with the library.

The welcome address was delivered by the Principal, Mrs. Meera Isaacs, who stressed on the importance of how platforms like these, encourage young minds to unleash their true potential.

Distinguished poet and lyricist Gulzar, scriptwriter Mayank Tiwari, popular authors Amish Tripathi, Ashwin Sanghi, eminent columnist, journalist and writers Bachi Karkaria and Namita Devidayal comprised the august panel.

Ms. Karkaria spoke about her book ‘In Hot Blood’ while the others were part of the panel discussion chaired by Ms. Devidayal followed by Mr. Gulzar reciting his poetry.

The event was an interactive one filled with discussion and questions from the students and teachers. This gave students an enriching experience and exposed them to the beauty of writing and reading.
