On the 21st of November, in collaboration with the NCPA Outreach, Mrs. Pallavi Raisurana brought a unique presentation on the classical dance forms of India to the students of the Middle School. Through an interactive Power Point presentation, the students were introduced to all the classical dance forms and their accompanying percussion instruments. This was highlighted through an Odissi dance presentation by Smt. Swapnokalpa Dasgupta and her students along with the renowned and the only female Mardala player Smt. Poushali Mukherjee. Along with an explanation about the history of Odissi dance, the dancers portrayed the Dasavatara in a beautiful dance presentation. It was an enjoyable learning experience for the students.
