The English Department conducted a standard wise debate on 5th October, 2016. The topics for the debate were ‘Fast and Furious Wins the Race’, ‘Olympics are a Waste of Time and Money’ and ‘If it is to be, It is up to me’, for standards 5, 6 and 7 respectively. The headmistress, Mrs. Bhattacharya was the judge for the competition. The highlight of the debate was the rebuttal round in which each team asked the participants of the other, two questions based on the matter presented. Each participant rose to the occasion to defend their views. Thereafter the audience was asked to put forth their views on the topic. It was heartening to see the students voice their opinion convincingly.  The two best speakers from each standard were awarded.
