SCIENCE EXCURSION TO ST. XAVIER’S COLLEGE
To develop observational skills , promote the learning of science through experimentation and inspire the students , the science department arranged an excursion for the students of class 7 to the laboratories of St. Xavier’s College, one of the premier institutes of the country. On 3rd August, 2015 the students visited the ‘Heras Museum’, a unique mini museum exhibiting the legacy of icons and statues of distinguished religious communities. The HOD of the Zoology Department explained to the students the importance of specimens in research work, exhibiting a large variety of specimens of rare plants and animals. The H.O.D. of the Geology explained how the study of fossil and rocks help to understand the abiotic components of the environment showing age old rocks and fossils to the students.
