The Cathedral Middle School worked closely with the NGO- Desh Apnayen and introduced many child friendly activities to inculcate love for one’s country and have a better understanding of civics. This was done through street plays, role play, desh apnayen pledge, discussion based activities like world café, simulation activities like modeling the U.N. organ assembly, videos both direct and supplementary, and quizzes. Civics as well as History were depicted through the medium of art on topics like war and terrorism, effects of overpopulation and poverty, challenges faced by our world etc. Cathedral Middle school was awarded the ‘Best School Trophy’ under the leadership of Mrs. D. Bhattacharya and Mrs. Ritu Pasricha was awarded the ‘Champion Teacher Trophy’ by Desh Apnayen Team.
