Life is a Song – Sing It!
The annual Music Project, ‘Life is a song, Sing it!’ rang through the hall and walls of the Cathedral and John Connon Middle School, on the 27th of October, 2017. A musical journey through the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras of Western Classical music, the students grew well versed with it all! Closer home, they also enhanced their awareness and understanding of Indian music, encompassing Hindustani, Carnatic, Light Classical and Folk Music.
A grand display of musical instruments including String, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion instruments and the Euphonium,Ghatam,Cajun and Shenai were well complemented by live performances as ‘Music through the Ages’ that provided the children with a platform to display their immense talent – from singing Gregorian chants to solo performances on the Viola, Classical Guitar and Double Bass. It was sheer music to our ears!
