J K ROWLING’S HOUR

In an attempt to infuse fun and love for Literature, the students of class V from the Middle School commemorated J.K. Rowling on 29th July, 2016 by enacting characters from the very famous Harry Potter series. This was planned keeping in mind the birthday month of the author and the release of the latest edition of the Harry Potter Series.
The J.K. Rowling’s hour gave every child an opportunity to impersonate and role model a character of their choice. The audience was actively involved as they had to guess the names of the characters being impersonated through the get up, props, actions and speech.
The hour witnessed some of our budding actors display their oratory skills. A viva was conducted by the teacher on a one -on- one basis for each child. The rubrics for the hour included marks for justification, understanding and presentation of the character.
The hour presented itself as a brief interlude from the regular style of learning.
